FER MÉS TOMBS QUE EL VINT-I-NOU

“We went around without looking for each other, but knowing we went around to find each other.”

- JULIO CORTÁZAR, HOPSCOTCH.

Fer més tombs que el vint-i-nou is a catalan set frase that it's said to someone who is always wandering around the streets.

With this project we proposed to do four diferent outings applying the situacionists' practise, trying to avoid the psicogeography of our city, Barcelona.
In each outing, we started in different points of the same neighbourhood, generating two distinctive ways in the construction of new paths.

We wondered if we would end up finding each other, if we would walk through the same places or if we just would unconsciously avoid each other walking through the same delimited space.
As Julio Cortázar said in his novel Hopscotch: “We went around looking for each other, but knowing we went around to find each other.”
