BRIEF:
Developing a new website for Archivo Colita Fotografia to show the selected work, publications and exhibitions of the artist.

COLITA PHOTOGRAPHY ARCHIVE

Anyone searching for Colita could understand her photographic work at a glance.

Isabel Steva Hernández, better known as Colita, immortalized with her camera the Barcelona of the 1960s and 70s, the world of flamenco, and the most important figures, both artists and intellectuals, in Spanish history. A fervent defender of freedom and feminism, Colita contributed to various publications of the time and was part of the famous Gauche Divine movement.

When conceptualizing the website, we focused primarily on two points: creating a website that was easy for everyone to navigate (Colita was already in her eighties) and, secondly, presenting the information and photographs in a very clear way. This ensured that anyone searching for Colita could understand her photographic work at a glance.

We maintained a minimalist aesthetic, using Helvetica as the font and black and white (like her photographs) and red (her signature color) as the color palette.
